Stromae

Artist of the month today! I know it’s for the month of November and I’m incredibly late…I don’t think things will calm down until after I leave France. You can also find a really rad version of his song, “Papaoutai,” by Pentatonix on Youtube.

One of the most famous (if not THE most famous) artists of France. If you haven’t heard him before, you should listen. I’m a little busy right now (like REALLY busy) so I’m going to have to slow down on the length of my posts. As in this one is going to be about a paragraph long. My favorite part about Stromae is his videos – he’s known for filming his music videos drunk so it’s really interesting watching him. He also reminds me of the French version of Kendrick Lamar, but softer and a little more mellow. When I say this, I mean there are 2 types of rappers: the ones who rap about real-world problems (“urban poetry) and the ones who rap about booty-shaking. I think you can guess which one I like better.
